Chief Executive Officer
Dan joined StatLab as CEO concurrent with Cressey & Company’s investment in 2017. Dan brings over three decades of experience in the healthcare industry in distribution and logistics, specialty manufacturing, medical devices and technology enabled services across the diagnostic, pharmaceutical and medical-surgical supply chains. Dan has extensive leadership and governance experience, including CEO, Director and president and COO of multiple private and publicly traded companies. Dan has served on the board of directors and executive committee of the Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA).
Chief Operations Officer
Kamron has led the Operations team through multiple transitions and improvements since joining StatLab in 2013. He was responsible for implementing an ISO13485 certified quality management system, launching a West coast distribution center, and managing construction and move to a brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, correlating to over a 10% increase in service levels and over $1.5M reduced annual product cost. Prior to StatLab, Kamron was with Mary Kay cosmetics, where he led a team of over 300 employees in the daily production of over one-million units. Previous to Mary Kay, Kamron was Director of Supply Chain at BeautiControl, Inc., a subsidiary of Tupperware, Inc., for six years. Kamron graduated with an MBA in Supply Chain Management from the University of Dallas and a bachelors degree from Southern Methodist University and is a certified Project Management Professional and certified Six-Sigma Black Belt.
Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Wayne was a long-term customer and advisor to StatLab prior to joining StatLab in July 2018 as the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He is a proven leader in the laboratory space, with close to two decades of experience in sales, marketing and operations, most recently as founding partner and Vice President of Avero Diagnostics, and Vice President of Sales for Oppenheimer Urologic Reference Laboratory, where he helped scale the company from a small regional lab to a nationally recognized leader in urologic pathology. Wayne is a graduate of the Raymond Harbert College of Business at Auburn University, with a degree in Business Administration and Operations Management.
Mark Rees, PhD
Senior Vice President, R&D and Innovations
Since joining StatLab in 2013 as VP of Advanced Diagnostics, Mark has been instrumental in building the Diagnostic Division, introducing a new IVD product portfolio, as well as establishing StatLab R&D team to produce a novel patented control technology (TruQ controls™). Dr. Mark Rees is a leader in diagnostic pathology, dedicated to pushing the innovation envelope by delivering differentiating diagnostic assays & technologies to drive exponential revenue growth. Prior to joining Statlab, Mark held numerous leadership roles in business development, Scientific Affairs and R&D at Enzo Biochem, Danaher (Leica Biosystems UK & US) and Novocastra Laboratories (England, UK). Mark holds a PhD in Molecular Biology, MS in Microbiology and a BS (hons) in Biochemistry from Newcastle University Medical School, England UK.
Vice President, R&D
Gary joined StatLab in 2013, bringing over thirty years of extensive anatomical pathology and healthcare experience in various business settings where he managed and contributed in many different areas of discipline including Research and Development, Product Development, Technical Services, and Quality Assurance. He has either developed or co-developed over 600 end-user products for the anatomical and clinical pathology marketplace. Prior to StatLab, Gary spent the bulk of his career with Richard-Allan Scientific/Thermo Fisher Scientific developing consumable products such as stain and reagent systems and assisted with the creation and production of laboratory equipment. Gary holds degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Chemistry and is a certified Histotechnologist (HTL). He is an active member on the histology lecture circuit, with topics generally based on the chemical mechanisms involved in histotechnology and other areas of anatomical pathology.
Vice President, Product Development
Dan is Vice President of Product Development, and joined StatLab in 1986 when his family first acquired StatLab from the original ownership group. Holding many roles throughout his tenure with the company from sales management to customer service gives Dan deep insight into the function of the business and needs of the customer and market. This experience informs Dan's work with both customers and suppliers to develop new products that bring greater efficiency, higher quality, and cost savings to StatLab customers. Prior to joining StatLab, Dan worked in commercial banking and graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
Vice President, OEM/International Sales
Pete has served as VP of OEM / International Sales since 2017, managing the strategic development of these business units. Pete joined StatLab in 2011, and has contributed in a variety of roles from sales management to most recently in sales leadership as Vice President of Sales, where he led the team to double digit growth in top line revenue for the organization. Pete has close to 20 years of sales experience, and prior to StatLab was in sales at Avaya. Pete has a Bachelor’s degree from Aquinas College in Business Administration.
Debbie Siena, HT(ASCP)QIHC
Technical Support Manager
Debbie manages the StatLab Technical Support team along with providing internal education, and collaborating with suppliers and in new product development and optimization. Prior to joining StatLab in 2010, Debbie was at Ventana, and previously managed the Anatomic Pathology Department at Baylor University Medical Center, and supervised the histology department at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Debbie has over 25 years of experience in IHC and routine histology, and actively contributes to the industry through her leadership and continuing education at the state and national level for NSH.
Director, Marketing and Communications
Jessica joined the StatLab team in 2019 after leading the business through a brand refresh first as a consultant. She brings experience leading inside marketing teams as well as agency teams, and has helped many brands come to life and evolve throughout her 18 year career. Her experience spanning both internal and external marketing teams gives greater ability to extend the StatLab brand throughout a variety of touchpoints. Prior to joining StatLab, she worked with Progenity as Associate Marketing Director.
