  1. Illuminate Regres Stain Kit /LT
    Item # : KTILLREGLT
Vibrant, Crisp, & Consistent H&E Stains for High Volume Operations

Our flagship stain kit for autostainers. This amazing regressive stain uses a robust hematoxylin combined with a highly advanced differentiating solution to produce a vibrant, crisp, blue to purple nucleus against an ultra clean, tri-colored pink to red background of cell cytoplasm, collagen, and muscle. Best of all, staining intensity can be controlled easily by small time adjustments in the protocol!
  2. FONTANA-MASSON STAIN KIT /Ea
    Item # : KTFMA
Stains for argentaffin cells, granules, carcinoid tumors, and melanin in 60 minutes.

Argentaffin cells possess the ability to bind and reduce silver to a visible metal without requiring a reducing agent, allowing this stain to be performed with fewer steps than other silver stains. An Ammoniacal Silver Developer Solution serves as the primary stain, producing brown to black melanin granules against a pink to red background counterstained by Nuclear Fast Red. There is no filtration required when using MasterTech Nuclear Fast Red.
  3. CONGO RED AMYLOID LT STAIN KIT/Ea
    Item # : KTCRELT
Stains for amyloid deposits in just over 60 minutes.

This kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to the alkaline congo red method, commonly used to stain for primary, secondary, myeloma-associated, or tumor-associated amyloidosis. The MasterTech Congo Red Amyloid Kit requries no working solution preparation, making it faster and more convenient than similar kits or procedures. Congo Red Amyloid Stain serves as the primary stain, producing pink to red amyloid deposits with blue nuclei counterstained by Hematoxylin.
  4. Illuminate Harris Gal Kit/Ea
    Item # : KTILLHARGAL
Vibrant, Crisp, & Consistent H&E Stains for High Volume Operations

This stain uses Harris hematoxylin combined with a highly advanced differentiating solution to produce a vibrant, crisp, blue to purple nucleus against an ultra clean, tri-colored pink to red background of cell cytoplasm, collagen, and muscle. Best of all, staining intensity can be controlled easily by small time adjustments in the protocol!
  5. DEVELOPER SET (Biel) /Kit 3 x 6ml
    Item # : KT499-6
Developer solutions used with the Bielschowsky's Modified Stain Kit.
  6. C.E.M. STAIN KIT /Ea
    Item # : KTCEM
Stains for eosinophils and mast cells in just over 60 minutes.

This stain is commonly used for demonstrating inflammation and allergic reactions in tissue specimens, or basic immune response and cell identification in Pleural fluids and also sputums which can assist in the clinical diagnosis of bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, and other upper respiratory diseases.
  7. Alkaline Congo Red Amyloid Kit/Ea
    Item # : KTACR
Stains for amyloid deposits in less than 15 minutes.

This kit is commonly used to stain for primary, secondary, myeloma-associated, or tumor-associated amyloidosis. Alkaline Congo Red Solution serves as the primary stain, producing pink to red amyloid deposits with blue nuclei counterstained by Hematoxylin.
  8. Myofibrillar ATPase Stain Kit /Each
    Item # : KTATP
Stains for the two types of muscle fibers and their subtypes in 50 minutes.

Traditional ATPase procedures employ the use of a barbiturate buffer, which is a controlled substance. American MasterTech’s Myofibrillar ATPase Stain Kit contains no barbiturates! In the MasterTech’s Myofibrillar ATPase Stain Kit a predominance of Type 1 fiber types typically indicates a myopathic condition, such as dystrophy, while a predominance of Type 2 fibers typically indicates a neuropathic condition. Type 1 Buffer stains small type 1 fibers black and type 2C fibers grey. Type 1&2BC Buffer stains small type 1 fibers black, 2B and 2C fibers grey to black. Type 2AB Buffer stains type 2A and 2B fibers black.
  9. JONES BASEMENT MEMB PINT KIT /Each
    Item # : KTJONPT
Stains basement membrane and reticulum fibers in just 20 minutes.

This kit includes a 20 minute microwave procedure and the traditional one hour and thirty minute procedure. This kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to the Periodic Acid/Methenamine Silver Procedure for Basement Membranes. The MasterTech Jones Stain Kit differs from this procedure by using Nuclear Fast Red as a counterstain instead of Light Green, which provides better contrast. A Methenamine Silver Developer Solution serves as the primary stain, with Gold Chloride toning the tissue sections, producing gray to black basement membranes and reticulum fibers against a pink to red background with red nuclei, counterstained by Nuclear Fast Red. There is no filtration required when using MasterTech Nuclear Fast Red.
  10. McDONALD'S GRAM PINT STAIN KIT /Ea
    Item # : KTMGSPT
Stains for gram positive and gram negative bacteria in less than five minutes.

This kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to the Brown and Brenn, Brown and Hopps, and Modified Gram Methods for staining gram positive and gram negative bacteria. The MasterTech Gram Stain Kit® differs from these procedures in that Carbol Fuchsin is used instead of Saffranin which intensifies the stains. The kit is also safer to use than the traditional procedures because the hazardous Gallegos Differentiating Solution and picric acid/acetone is eliminated. The results are identical to the Brown & Brenn stain without the exposure to hazardous chemicals. Both Gentian Violet and Carbol Fuchsin serve as the primary stains, producing blue gram positive bacteria and red gram negative bacteria against a yellow background, counterstained by Optimized Tartrazine which provides more intense staining in less time than traditional Tartrazine formulations.
