This kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to Alcian Yellow/Toluidine Blue Helicobacter pylori Stains such as the Leung and Gibbon’s Technique. The Helico*Stat® Stain Kit differs from these procedures by using true Alcian Yellow dye instead of an alternative. This provides tremendous contrast between the organism and mucin. Toluidine Blue serves as the primary stain, producing blue Helicobacter pylori and background against yellow mucins, counterstained by Alcian Yellow.

100ml Kit Consists of: Periodic Acid Solution Pint, Alcian Yellow Solution 100ml, 3% Sodium Hydroxide 10ml, Sodium Metabisulfite Solution 100ml and Toluidine Blue Stock.

Pint Kit Consists of: Periodic Acid Solution pint, Sodium Metabisulfite Solution pint, Alcian Yellow Solution pint, Toluidine Blue Stock 30ml, and 3% Sodium Hydroxide 30ml.

Liter Kit Consists of: Periodic Acid Solution liter, Sodium Metabisulfite Solution liter, Alcian Yellow Solution liter, Toluidine Blue Stock 100ml, and 3% Sodium Hydroxide 100ml.

All kit components are available for purchase individually. Both kits are sealed with a tamper-evident label for quality assurance. All kit components should be stored in a dry environment between 15º C and 30º C. Please review all component labels to ensure correct storage temperature.
