Used to demonstrate changes in elastic tissue such as atrophy, arteriosclerotic changes, reduplication, breaks, splitting, or to determine whether blood vessels have been invaded by a tumor. Verhoeffs working solution serves as the primary stain in this regressive method, overstained and then differentiated to produce purple to black elastic fibers and pink to red collagen against yellow background tissue counterstained by Van Gieson’s.

100ml Kit Consists of: 5% Alcoholic Hematoxylin 100ml, 10% Ferric Chloride Solution 100ml, Universal Iodine Solutionâ„¢ 100ml, 5% Sodium Thiosulfate 100ml and Van Gieson's Stain 100ml.
Pint Kit Consists of: 5% Alcoholic Hematoxylin pint, 10% Ferric Chloride Solution pint, Universal Iodine Solution pint, 5% Sodium Thiosulfate pint, and Van Gieson's Stain pint.
Liter Kit Consists of: 5% Alcoholic Hematoxylin liter, 10% Ferric Chloride Solution liter, Universal Iodine Solution 2 liters, 5% Sodium Thiosulfate liter, and Van Gieson's Stain liter.
All kit components are available for purchase individually. Both kits are sealed with a tamper-evident label for quality assurance. All kit components should be stored in a dry environment between 15º C and 30º C. Please review all component labels to ensure correct storage temperature.
