Mouse Monoclonal. Intended for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use. This antibody is specific to a protein of 110 kDa, identified as androgen receptor. It reacts with full length AR and also with the newly described A form of the receptor. The antibody does not cross-react with estrogen, progesterone or glucocorticoid receptors. Androgen receptor expression is broadly distributed in a variety of normal tissue types as well as in carcinomas of the breast and uroepithelium, and plays a critical role in prostate development, homeostasis, and carcinogenesis.
